Reflections and Advice:
1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Morning meeting every morning at 7:45 am really brought the community together and started each day off right. Also mandatory lunches, they gave you assigned seating which give you the opportunity to meet new people that you otherwise would not have the chance to meet.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
I got into West Point, I had wanted to go there every since I was a little kid. Avon was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I wouldn't be there today if it wasn't for Avon.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
Join more clubs, be more outgoing, take advantage of the Avon/Miss Porters opportunities. Jump right into Avon, make relationships, join clubs, and enjoy every minute of it because it goes by faster then you think.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
Avon is an amazing place, but its the people that make it. The teachers become mentors who give you life lessons and the students become friends that you will have for a lifetime. I loved all four years at Avon and wish it lasted longer.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Definitely take Geology with Mr. Symes I've heard it is the greatest class Avon has to offer. The oreo milkshakes at the hawks nest is the best you'll ever get. Also everyone says that Brown is the best dorm, but don't listen to them. If you want the best Avon experience go to Pelican dorm.
Academics:
1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I loved the wide variety of course selections. I was able to engineering, computer programming and woodworking. Also the availability of teachers is really unique at Avon. Teachers make themselves easy to get in touch with and always willing to give extra assistance if you are struggling in a class.

All three of these programs worked hard and it paid off every year. The concerts were amazing and I really enjoyed listening to their great productions. The plays were always entertaining and gave everyone an opportunity to show their acting abilities.
Extracurricular Opportunities:
1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
I loved how many clubs are available. This gives everyone an opportunity to join something that they are passionate about. Also, I loved how easy it is to make a club. You can always just create your own club if there isn't one your not passionate about. Also I took part in habitat for humanity during my March break which was a great experience. Not only did I help build houses, but got to meet new people that I didn't really know at Avon.

Social and Town Life:
1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
There's a lot of great food areas. Probably the best burger places in Connecticut, five guys and burgerfi. Along with the best wing place in America, J tims. The movie theater is awesome, and the mall is very close.
