Oak Ridge Military Academy founded in 1852 is recognized as the oldest pre-college military boarding school in the United States.
It was the first military school to accept women in 1854.
In 1926 Oak Ridge was designated a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
Starting in August 2021, the JROTC program will be offered to our 8th-grade cadets.
